Microdermabrasion

Invest in your body, your soul will thank you.

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion (MDA) is a minimally invasive epidermal resurfacing procedure used to treat uneven skin tone/texture, photoaging, striae, melasma, scars, including acne scars. Microdermabrasion is completed using a diamond tip wand that uses negative pressure suction to glide across the surface of the skin. The treatment is done on dry skin, and results in a shedding of the top layer of skin. Masking and skin care is applied after.

This treatment can be combined into a spa facial, or with a mild chemical peel.

Clients must wear mineral sunscreen after treatment to avoid UVA/UVB irritation.

The down time of this treatment is 48 hours-7 days.

Can be repeated every 4-6 weeks.

How Does it Work?

During a microdermabrasion treatment, a handheld device delivers a controlled stream of fine crystals or a diamond-tipped wand to the skin's surface. These crystal tips gently abrade the skin, effectively removing dead skin cells, debris, and impurities. Simultaneously, a vacuum suction mechanism or suction pump is used to suction away the exfoliated skin cells and debris.

Microdermabrasion commonly used to address various skin concerns, including:

  • Dull or rough skin texture

  • Uneven skin tone

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Sun damage

  • Mild acne scars

  • Enlarged pores

  • Superficial pigmentation irregularities
