Botox, short for botulinum toxin, works by temporarily paralyzing or weakening muscles.Botox is typically administered via injections directly into the muscles that are causing wrinkles or other issues. Botulinum toxin is a neurotoxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles. Normally, these nerve signals cause muscles to contract and move. By blocking them, Botox prevents the muscle from contracting. When the muscle is unable to contract, it relaxes. This relaxation smooths out wrinkles in the overlying skin, making them less visible. Botox is commonly used for reducing the appearance of wrinkles, particularly in the forehead, between the eyebrows (frown lines), and around the eyes (crow’s feet). It’s important to note that the effects of Botox are temporary. Over time, typically within several months, the muscle gradually regains its ability to contract, and the wrinkles may reappear. Who is a Good Candidate for Botox?

'Tox Lip Flip

Botox lip flip is a fast cosmetic injection designed to roll the upper lip slightly outward temporarily. When more of the “pink” part of the mouth (mucosal tissue) is exposed, the lip may appear larger. This subtle enhancement lasts just about 2 months and requires no incisions or scars. Only the superficial layers of muscle at the sides of the upper and lower lips will be treated. Reducing signals to muscles just under the skin allows deeper lip muscles to keep working normally while surface fibres relax. This very thin, targeted layer receives only 1 or 2 units of product in each key point. This is a much lower dose than typically used in other areas of the face, such as the frown lines. Because it’s a baby Botox dose, the effects are relatively short-lived. Typically, 4 to 6 weeks will allow the product to wear off, and patients who wish to maintain their result will repeat the treatment

Met this lovely group of ladies at the National Women’s Show back in November and decided to try botox for my traps as this was a treatment recommended by my doctor for pain relief. Unfortunately, botox did nothing for the pain so I’ll have to look for other options for pain treatment. However, I did want to spend some time to write a review because the service and care I got from this team, and especially Miranda, was exceptional. Everyone is so kind and lovely here. During my first follow up, I also got a free skin analysis and got recommended some things I could try to incorporate into my skincare routine. In my most recent visit, I did have to let them know that this treatment was no longer working for me and I was slightly concerned I might have other services pushed on me as friends have mentioned that some places do tend to try and push unnecessary services onto people but I experienced none of that here. While I haven’t considered getting any other kind of beauty treatments, I will definitely keep this place in mind if I do decide to explore further. They do an initial analysis of my face which was eye opener! I loved the products used for my skin it was so luxe and the scent of the products was fresh and relaxing.  Raven talked me through the process but also allowed me to just relax.  I would definitely recommend anyone to go to this location.
